April 14th – National Ex-Spouse Day

This is really a thing. Who knew, right? The question is – is this a day of celebration, angst, anger, sadness, etc.?

If you have children with your ex-spouse, hopefully it is not a day of sadness or anger. Your children are likely the light of your life and your ex-spouse helped them come to be. Maybe you can make Ex-Spouse Day a day to celebrate the children.

If you don’t have children, maybe it’s a day to acknowledge the lost relationship and the things you learned from it. Not every past relationship has to be awful, sometimes they simply are bumps in the road in our lives.

Maybe it is a day to simply sit down with a pint of ice cream and reflect.

Whatever kind of day it is for you, realize it is just another day in your life.

If you have questions related to a possible dissolution of marriage, child custody questions, or parenting time concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office (952) 224-9410.
