The attorneys at Howard Family Law, LLC, offer a free 30-minute initial consultation to every potential client, during which they will discuss your case and explain how the divorce process works, both legally and practically. Educating clients generally empowers them to make more informed decisions about their future.
As your attorney, it is our duty to guide you and clearly demonstrate the consequences of your decisions. At times, this may entail telling you things about your case that may be difficult to hear. You can be assured that we will always give you our candid and honest opinions regarding the facts and legal aspects of your case.
We encourage our clients to collaboratively negotiate their divorce-related issues, such as child custody arrangements, visitation rights, alimony, and the division of marital property. The reason we recommend settling is that it often saves our clients time, money, and emotional turmoil. When a client and their spouse reach mutually-agreeable settlement terms, they are more likely to feel satisfied with these agreements, in the long run, thus negating the need to modify these terms in the future. Reaching mutually-agreeable terms allows clients to make decisions about their own future, which is often more empowering than having a judge impose terms that neither party finds appealing.
At Howard Family Law, LLC, we’re committed to helping our clients reach common ground wherever possible. We will explore all options regarding custody, property division, and financial issues, among others. A lengthy and expensive divorce battle is in no one’s best interest, and we promise to do everything we can to protect you from that situation.
Of course, there are times when litigation is simply unavoidable. This may be true for various reasons, such as a party’s unwillingness or inability to compromise and/or unreasonable/unfair settlement proposals from your spouse. If your divorce requires litigation, rest assured that the attorneys at Howard Family Law, LLC possess the required experience to obtain the best results for you and your family.
I hadn’t used an attorney for my divorce, but now that I have worked with Lyndsay, I wish I had known her back then. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made things easy to understand. She definitely knows her stuff and was very cognizant of my time and kept fees down by doing so. I would highly suggest that anyone considering a divorce see Lyndsay first!! Mary E.
